According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[045] The invention relates to a solid herbal facewash tablet designed for acne-prone and sensitive skin, comprising a synergistic blend of herbal extracts including green tea, betel leaf, neem, aloe vera, and orange peel, along with salicylic acid as a keratolytic and comedolytic agent. The formulation employs a mild surfactant system of disodium cocoyl glutamate, cocamidopropyl betaine, and sodium cocoyl isethionate to ensure gentle cleansing and stable foam. Tablet integrity is maintained using carboxymethyl cellulose, gelatin, and rice flour, while croscarmellose sodium and sodium starch glycolate enable rapid disintegration upon contact with water. Talc and kaolin regulate texture and oiliness, glycerin acts as a humectant, and a low-concentration combination of sodium benzoate and potassium sorbate provides antimicrobial protection. Citric acid is included to maintain a skin-friendly pH range of 5-6. The solid tablet offers effective cleansing, enhanced cosmetic acceptability, reduced preservative requirements, environmental sustainability, and a convenient, portable format suitable for daily skincare routines."
