MUMBAI, India, May 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611024845 A) filed by Vivekananda Institute Of Professional Studies - Technical Campus, New Delhi, on March 2, for 'herbal shampoo composition and method for preparation thereof.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A herbal shampoo composition comprising a combined aqueous herbal extract by decoction of Grewia optiva bark, Psidium guajava leaves, and one or more herbs selected from the group consisting of Emblica officinalis, Sapindus mukorossi, Acacia concinna, and Azadirachta indica, at least one plant-derived surfactant, at least one conditioning agent and a pH balancing agent and a method for preparing the herbal shampoo composition, comprising the steps of filtering the combined aqueous herbal extract, blending the filtered extract with at least one plant-derived surfactant and an aqueous carrier to form a base mixture, adding at least one conditioning agent to the base mixture, adding a pH balancing agent to the mixture to form a stable emulsion and adding an essential oil to the stable emulsion to obtain the herbal shampoo composition."
