According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Caprylic acid is a medium-chain fatty acid known for its anti-inflammatory and gut-supportive properties, which can be beneficial in managing menstrual pain. One of its key advantages is its ability to help reduce inflammation associated with excessive prostaglandin production, a major cause of uterine cramps during menstruation. By modulating inflammatory responses, caprylic acid may help ease lower abdominal and pelvic pain. Caprylic acid also supports gut health by controlling harmful microbes and maintaining a balanced intestinal microbiota. A healthy gut plays an important role in estrogen metabolism, and improved estrogen clearance may help reduce the severity of menstrual cramps and bloating. Additionally, caprylic acid enhances nutrient absorption, particularly magnesium and calcium, which are essential for muscle relaxation and reducing uterine spasms. Another advantage is its role in reducing digestive discomfort such as bloating and gas, which often worsen menstrual pain. Overall, caprylic acid offers a natural, supportive approach to improving menstrual comfort and well-being."
