MUMBAI, India, May 29 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621044054 A) filed by Symbiosis International, Pune, Maharashtra, on April 6, for 'height-adjustable automated multi-commodity sampling system for enhanced productivity in bulk material handling.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Sandeep Sharda; and Mahendra Kurdekar.
The application for the patent was published on May 29, under issue no. 22/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a height-adjustable automated multi-commodity sampling system (100) designed for efficient pre-unloading inspection of bulk materials in industrial applications. The system comprises a main frame structure (110), a projected platform (120) for resting on transport vehicles, a back platform (130) functioning as counterweight, a piercing pin array (150) arranged in four columns and three rows, and spring-operated deflectable bowls (160) for sample collection. The system is supported by four solenoid-operated hydraulic height-adjustable legs (170) incorporating directional control valves (171), flow control valves (172), proximity sensors (175), and lockable wheels (176). The system enables rapid, safe, and representative sampling across multiple commodity types while reducing truck turnaround time by 30 to 40 percent. The invention contributes to sustainable bulk-handling practices through reduced idle time, minimised material waste, and enhanced operational efficiency with IoT-based monitoring capabilities."
