MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019779 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'heavy objects lifting and transporting assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include R. K. Jain; Dhruv Joshi; Vandana Kanyal; and Shamshad Hussain.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A heavy objects lifting and transporting assistive device, comprising a platform 1 developed to be positioned by a user in proximity to a heavy object that the user desires to lift, a handle 2 attached with the platform 1 via a lever 3 for allowing a user to position a plate 4 attached with the lever 3 underneath the object, an impact sensor 5 installed on the plate 4 for detecting placement of the plate 4 underneath the object, a LED (Light Emitting Diode) 6 installed on the platform 1 for illuminating a green light in order to notify the user to apply pressure on the handle 2, a weight sensor 7 mapped on the plate 4 for detecting weight of the lifted object and an IR (Infrared) sensor 9 installed on the plate 4 for detecting lifting of the object above the surface."
