MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517096886 A) filed by Nippon Paper Industries Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on Oct. 8, for 'heat-sensitive recording body.'

Inventor(s) include Koshi Tatsuro; and Hirai Kenji.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "[Problem] To provide a heat-sensitive recording body having excellent print running properties (especially resistance to head residue adhesion) even during long-run printing. [Solution] A heat-sensitive recording body in which a heat-sensitive recording layer containing a colorless or pale electron-donating leuco dye and an electron-accepting color developer is provided on a supporting body, and a protective layer is provided on the heat-sensitive recording layer, wherein the heat-sensitive recording layer contains at least one urea compound represented by general formula (chemical formula 1), and the protective layer contains a phosphate ester compound. (In the formula, X represents -O- or -NH-, R1 represents a hydrogen atom or -SO2-R3, R3 represents a substituted or unsubstituted alkyl group, aralkyl group, or aryl group, R2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group, and m is 0 or 1.)."
