MUMBAI, India, Jan. 3 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511102889 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Oct. 25, 2025, for 'heart disease detection system for early diagnosis and atrial fibrillation (af) rate determination.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A heart disease detection system for early diagnosis and atrial fibrillation (AF) rate determination comprises of a data acquisition unit 101, configured to collect healthcare data from benchmark datasets and perform preprocessing including normalization, noise removal, and validation of input parameters, a weighted optimal feature selection unit 102a, configured to select and weight relevant features using an Enhanced Arbitrary Variable-based Ship Rescue Optimization based on classification accuracy and feature importance metrics, a detection unit 103, configured to analyze the selected features using an Adaptive Deep Support Vector Machine with adaptive depth and kernel configurations to detect heart disease with high accuracy, an AF rate determination unit 104, configured to calculate the atrial fibrillation rate using an Adaptive Multiscale Convolution Capsule Network with multiscale convolutional layers and capsule-based routing structures to interpret spatial and temporal information, a parameter optimization unit, configured to tune the network parameters using the optimization method, the system providing improved accuracy in heart disease detection and precise AF rate determination."
