According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This invention describes a hearing assistance system that is low-cost, lightweight, and wearable while containing audio processing capabilities and augmented reality displays. The system includes a multi-element MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems) microphone array connected to an ESP32 microcontroller to perform beamforming and noise reduction to enhance speech listening. The audio is processed into text with a speech-to-text engine and wirelessly sent to the Arduino-controlled transparent OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) display on the AR glasses for real-time capturing. An AI chatbot activated using push buttons enables voice interaction and translation. The invention allows both audio and visual engagement, providing two modes of output to increase speech comprehension for users with hearing impairments."
