MUMBAI, India, July 25 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517064918 A) filed by Nishikawa Co. Ltd., Tokyo, on July 8, for 'health risk determination system, autonomic nerve determination system, life improvement system, sleeping posture determination system, sleeping posture determination program, bruxism detection system, and bruxism detection program.'

Inventor(s) include Nishikawa Yasuyuki; Nonomura Takuto; Shimada Saki; Nishina Midori; and Aoki Mari.

The application for the patent was published on July 25, under issue no. 30/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A health risk determination system according to one aspect is provided with: a sensor unit in which breathing information, which is information indicating breathing of a user, is acquired without contacting the user; an abnormality detection unit in which an abnormal breathing state of the user is detected from the breathing information; a unit number of times acquisition unit in which the number of times of detection of the abnormal breathing state is acquired, per unit time period having a predetermined time width, within a time period from a fall-asleep time to an awakening time; an average number of times acquisition unit in which an average number of times of detection is acquired, the average number of times of detection being a value determined by dividing, by the time period from the fall-asleep time to the awakening time, the total value of the numbers of times of detection of the abnormal breathing state within the period from the fall-asleep time to the awakening time; a maximum number of times acquisition unit in which a maximum number of times of detection, which is a maximum value among a plurality of numbers of times of detection acquired for each unit time period, is acquired; and a health risk determination unit in which the health risk of the user is determined both from the average number of times of detection and from the maximum number of times of detection."
