MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411020037 A) filed by Shobhit Institute Of Engineering & Technology, Meerut, Uttar Pradesh, on March 18, 2024, for 'hay stacking assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Alpana Joshi; Sahdev Singh; Vikas; and Sonam Arya.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hay stacking assistive device, comprises of a rectangular platform 1 installed with a chamber 2 via a pair of L-shaped links 3 to manually fill with hay that is to be stacked, a camera 5 mounted on the platform 1 for capturing multiple images of surroundings, a weight sensor arranged within the chamber 2 for detecting weight of the hay collected within the chamber 2, an extendable bar 10 equipped with a slab 11 attached with a telescopically operated handle 13 installed on the platform 1 for compressing the hay, a force sensor mapped on the slab 11 for detecting force applied by the slab 11 on the hay, and a pair of robotic arms 14 configured within the chamber 2 for unwrapping a pre-set length of string from a spool 15 installed within the chamber 2 for tying the hay stack."
