MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411023484 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 25, 2024, for 'hands protection device for two-wheeler vehicles.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 31, under issue no. 44/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hands protection device for two-wheeler vehicles comprises of a pair of cylindrical frame 1 having a pair of curved vertical plates 2 developed to be accommodated with handles of a two-wheeler vehicle, an ultrasonic sensor is mapped on the body 3 to detect thickness of the handle, multiple electromagnets are embedded at ends of the plates 2 to establish the frame 1 around the handles of vehicle, a wearable body 3 attached with each of the frames 1, developed to worn around arm portion of a user riding the vehicle, a pair of motorized rollers 4 embedded within the body 3 and straps to properly fit the body 3 and straps, a thermal camera arranged over the bodies to monitor presence of strain over the hand."
