MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006498 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'handlebar of a vehicle.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses gusset members (204; 206) connecting a steering member (202) with a handlebar (120) of a vehicle (100). The handlebar (120) includes a first oblique member (208) and a second oblique member (210). The first oblique member (208) extends in a first direction from the steering member (202) and the second oblique member (210) extends in a second direction from the steering member (202). A first gusset member (204) of the gusset members (204; 206) connects the steering member (202) with the first oblique member (208). A second gusset member (206) of the gusset members (204; 206) connects the steering member (202) with the second oblique member (210). The first gusset member (204) and the second gusset member (206) have one of a C-shaped cross-section, a U-shaped cross-section, a V-shaped cross-section, a trapezoidal cross-section, a semi-circular cross-section, a semi-elliptical cross-section, and a semi-hexagonal cross-section."
