MUMBAI, India, May 30 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311080247 A) filed by Schneider Electric India Private Limited, New Delhi, on Nov. 25, 2023, for 'handle locking arrangement for draw-out relay to enable the locking/unlocking through automated and manual modes.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to a handle locking arrangement (100) for the withdrawable relay, the handle locking arrangement includes a bezel (102) configured as an outer casing that accommodates handle lock assembly. A handle (104) coupled to the bezel is adapted to move from a close position to an open position. A handle lock component (106) is accommodated in the bezel, the position of the handle lock component (106) is adjustable by applying axial force to push it inward, followed by rotation in either a clockwise or counterclockwise direction, enabling both manual and automated operation for locking and unlocking of the handle. A compression spring (110) imparts the necessary force for transitioning the handle lock component and a profile contour (108) with the bezel enables the handle lock component (106) to remain in the distinct positions."
