MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531018004 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 28, for 'handheld spectacles cleaning device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Satya Ranjan Dash.

The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld spectacles cleaning device, comprising a pair of elongated extendable bodies 101 gripped by a user and having first end connected with each other via a hinge 102 and second ends configured with two circular discs 103, the discs 103 are developed to be positioned in contact with lens of a spectacles to be cleaned, a microphone 104 enabling a user to give voice commands for activating the device, an imaging unit 105 detects dimensions of user's hands, multiple iris pores 106 connected with a chamber 107 stored with cleaning solution, to open for dispensing determined amount of cleaning solution on glasses, plurality of microfiber bristles 108 arranged with each of discs 103, a BLDC (Brushless Direct Current) motor 109 rotates discs 103 in view of cleaning glasses via bristles 108."
