MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025425 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'handheld snack processing and packaging assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld snack processing and packaging assistive device, comprising a curved-shaped body 1 having a first and second position, and attached with a handle 2, a curved-shaped plate 4 for allowing a user to collect fried snacks within body 1, a touch enabled screen 3 to give input commands regarding an amount of snack to be packed in an auxiliary container, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 detects exact location of snacks, a holographic projection unit 11 guides user in collecting snacks in body 1 through plate 4, a weight sensor detects amount of snack collected within body 1, a speaker 6 for notifying user to stop adding snacks in body 1, plurality of chambers 7 for storing different spices, a motorized iris lid 8, dispenses spices in body 1, a motorized circular disc 9 attached with a pair of flaps 10, for mixing species with snacks via flaps 10."
