MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019763 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on March 17, 2024, for 'handheld sand blasting device.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Ajay Singh; and Dr. Satyavir Singh.

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a handheld sand blasting device, comprising a cylindrical hollow body 1 developed to be gripped by a user in front of a workpiece, a microphone 2 installed on body 1 access by user to input voice command for sand blasting workpiece, a microcontroller linked with microphone 2 process voice command and activates a camera 3 installed on body 1 for detecting workpiece type, a set of chambers 4 each configured with a primary motorized iris lid 5, assembled with body 1 and stored with sand of different grades for dispensing determined grade sand within body 1, an air compressor 6 installed within body 1 for compressing air and blowing compressed air along with dispensed sand towards an opening of body 1, and a pressure sensor installed with member 7 for detecting pressure at which sand is blasted on workpiece."
