MUMBAI, India, Aug. 8 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202441007330 A) filed by Jain, Bangalore, Karnataka, on Feb. 2, 2024, for 'handheld rope engaging device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld rope engaging devicecomprises of an elongated body 1 having a proximal and distal end, a telescopically operated handle 2 installed with the proximal end is gripped by a user for holding the body 1, a touch interactive display panel 4 arranged on the proximal end for displaying the captured images for selecting an object on the image at which a rope is to be engaged, a pair of clamping units 5 arranged on the distal end via a motorized hinge joint 6 to form a C-shaped structure, an extendable bar 7 for being positioned in proximity to the object, a primary electromagnet integrated in between the first end and one end of the structure for disengaging the first end from the structure, and a hook 8 engaged with a rope integrated on the second end that is translated along with the structure across the object."
