MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411026102 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 29, 2024, for 'handheld food mashing device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Vikesh Kashyap; Pramod; Rohit; Palak Kataria; and Depender Kaur.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 28, under issue no. 48/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld food mashing device, comprises of an elongated frame 1 having a first and second portion, first portion is attached with a handle 2 for gripping frame 1 by user, a second portion configured with a conical-shaped member 3 to be mashed food, a microphone 4 enabling the user to give voice commands, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 for detecting exact location of the food, a holographic projecting unit 6 for projecting holograms to accurately position the member 3, a speaker 7 for notifying the user to apply the force on the food, an electromagnetic spring 8 to expand for applying the decoded pressure on the food item for mashing the food item."
