MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202617001701 A) filed by Wan, Xingtian, Anhui, China, on Jan. 7, for 'handheld electric tea shears.'
Inventor(s) include Wan, Xingtian.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Handheld electric tea shears, comprising a support (1), a shearing part (2), a shearing power system (3), a tea collecting system (4) and a control system (5), wherein the control system (5) controls the shearing power system (3) to drive the shearing part (2) and the tea collecting system (4) to operate. Tea buds on a tea tree are independently and separately plucked and sheared off through the shearing part (2), thus ensuring the tea bud plucking quality; and the sheared-off tea buds are automatically conveyed through the tea collecting system (4)."
The patent application was internationally filed on June 11, 2024, under International application No.PCT/CN2024/098384.
