MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531011948 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on Feb. 12, for 'handheld cookie dipping assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Dr. Subhrajit Beura.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld cookie dipping assistive device, comprising an elongated body 101 having a proximal and distal end (102, 103), a handle 104 is gripped by a user to position distal end 103 in proximity to cookie, a microphone 105 enables user to provide input voice commands regarding requirement of assistance in dunking cookie in a jar containing a beverage, an inverted U-shaped frame 106 installed on distal end 103 and assembled with two motorized clippers 107, a telescopically operated L-shaped link 108 extend/retract for positioning clippers 107 on periphery of cookie, an imaging unit 109 determine distance of jar's mouth portion from body 101, a telescopically operated rod 110 extend/retract for positioning distal end 103 on mouth portion, a motorized sliding unit 111 provide downward translation to clippers 107 along with cookie, a timer is linked with microcontroller monitors time-duration of dipping operation."
