MUMBAI, India, April 17 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202621023013 A) filed by Sage University, Indore, Madhya Pradesh, on Feb. 26, for 'handheld apparatus and method for remote medical consultation delivery.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A handheld apparatus (100) for remote medical consultation delivery comprises a unified housing (102) integrating a plurality of biometric sensors (112) configured for single-handed operation. A rechargeable battery (104) housed within the unified housing (102) is electrically coupled to the plurality of biometric sensors (112). A hardware processor (106) operatively coupled to the plurality of biometric sensors (112) is configured to acquire biometric data through sequential sensor activation, aggregate the biometric data into consultation records based on the acquired data, store the consultation records, and transmit the consultation records to a remote server (110) for remote specialist examination. A touchscreen display (108) operatively coupled to the hardware processor (106) serves as a sole user interface. The plurality of biometric sensors (112) are permanently integrated within the unified housing (102) without requiring external peripheral devices, wireless pairing procedures, or cable connections, enabling zero-setup operation by field health workers during household visits."
