MUMBAI, India, Aug. 22 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411010050 A) filed by Sanskriti University, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on Feb. 14, 2024, for 'hand-operated metallic sheet joining device.'

Inventor(s) include Munesh Kumar.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 22, under issue no. 34/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-operated metallic sheet joining device includes a housing 1 positioned above a junction portion of two sheets to be joined via a handle 2, two rods 3 for providing support to housing 1 on sheets and each attached with a wheel 4 for providing movement over sheets, an imaging unit 5 for evaluating a 3D mapping of junction, a display panel 6 to input regarding a length of junction to be joined and a pattern to be craved on junction, two bars 7 attached with housing 1 via a pivot joint 8 extends to positon an attached plate 9 on each side of junction, multiple sliders 10 arranged on each plates 9 for positioning specific clamp at front of plates 9, two pistons 11 arranged at each end of bars 7 extends and retracts to press junction for joining sheets and forming a user specified type of pattern."
