MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411006609 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on Jan. 31, 2024, for 'hand-operated brick wall excess mortar removal device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-operated brick wall excess mortar removal device, comprising an elongated shaped hollow frame 1 positioned by a user in proximity to a wall surface, a handle 2 providing a grip to user while positioning a U-shaped member 3, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 4 determines portion of surface applied with excess mortar mixture for actuating a holographic projection unit 5 for projecting a holographic image in order to assist user to position frame 1, a tactile sensor detecting hardness of mixture for dispensing water on mixture, a laser sensor detecting gaps between bricks laid on surface for actuating motorized sliding unit 8 for positioning multiple curve shaped blades 10, actuates an L-shaped telescopic flap 11 is actuated by microcontroller for collecting scrapped mixture."
