MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020417 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'hand-held soil digging assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held soil digging assistive device, comprising a frame 101 constructed with a proximal and distal end and having a U-shaped flexible plate 102 that is place by a user in close proximity to the user's arm, an artificial intelligence-based first imaging unit 103 for monitoring the shapes and sizes of the user's arm, a motorized drawer arrangement to expand and retract the size of the member 105, a telescopically operated rod 104 to place a curved-shaped member 105, an ultrasonic sensor to detect distance in between the member 105 and surface, multiple motorized hinges to acquire a shape of the member 105 for digging and accommodating the soil over the member 105, a motorized ball and socket joint to provide multi-axis rotational movement to the member 105, a vibrating unit to produce vibrations of threshold intensity."
