MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024905 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'hand-held rock/ stone holding device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held rock/ stone holding device, comprising an oval-shaped body 1 developed to be hand-held by a user, a motorized iris lid 2 installed on the body 1 for allowing the user to place a rock/ stone within the body 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 installed on the body 1 for detecting presence of rock/ stones, a holographic projection unit 4 configured on the body 1 for guiding the user regarding the detected rock/ stone, a microphone 5 embedded within the body 1 for receiving voice commands of the user, an ignition unit 6 configured on the body 1 for generating a spark, thereby aiding the user in igniting a fire, a hammering unit 7 configured on the body 1 for breaking the rock/ stone and a speaker 8 mounted on the body 1 for notifying the user regarding the detected weight."
