MUMBAI, India, Oct. 31 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411024835 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 27, 2024, for 'hand-held paint surface smoothening assistive device.'
Inventor(s) include Ruby Sharma; Dr. Pallavi; Payal Sharma; and Devansh Bansal.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held paint surface smoothening assistive device, comprises of a cuboidal shaped body 1 developed to be positioned over a concrete wall surface, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 2 installed on the body 1 to generate a 3D (three-dimension) map of the surface, a touch interactive display panel 3 mapped on the body 1 for displaying the generated map and also accessed by the user to input details regarding a portion of the surface that is required to be smoothened, a holographic projection unit mounted on the body 1 for projecting a holographic image on the surface and plurality of pneumatic actuators arranged inside the for extending to position a rotatable circular plate 4 attached with the actuators on the surface."
