MUMBAI, India, Nov. 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411025509 A) filed by Chandigarh Group Of Colleges, Mohali, Punjab, on March 28, 2024, for 'hand-held nose pin removal device.'
Inventor(s) include Diksha Verma; Priyanka Nehra; and Aarti Dhiman.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 14, under issue no. 46/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held nose pin removal device, comprising a cylindrical shaped body 1 having a first portion 2 and second portion 3, developed to be hand held by a user in proximity to nose, handle 4 for providing grip to the user while positioning the body 1 in proximity to the nose, artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 5 for capturing multiple images in vicinity to the body 1 to detect dimensions and presence of the user nose pin, holographic projection unit 6 to project a holographic image on the user nose in order to guide the user to position the body 1, robotic arm 7 for positioning a C-shaped member 9 attached with the robotic arm 7 in proximity to the nose pin to extend/ retract for gripping the nose pin and a storage chamber 8 to remove nose pin upon removing the nose pin from user's nose."
