MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019158 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 15, 2024, for 'hand-held device for cleaning blinds.'

Inventor(s) include Shri Bhagwan.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand-held device for cleaning blinds, comprises of a plate 1 integrated with a handle 2 that is accessed by a user for acquiring a grip over plate 1, an artificial intelligence-based imaging unit 3 for capturing multiple images in vicinity of plate 1, multiple telescopically operated bars 4 arranged horizontally on plate 1 each by means of a motorized sliding units 5 to orient the bars 4 in alignment with each fins of blinds, a brush 6 is mounted on each of bars 4 each by means of a scotch and yoke arrangement 7 to provide reciprocatory movement to brushes 6 over fins, an angle sensor for monitoring angle of brushes 6 with respect to fins, plurality of suction units 9 arranged on bars 4 to extract and store dust/dirt wiped from fins into a container in order to prevent littering of dust/dirt in surrounding of plate 1."
