MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531020406 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 6, for 'hand and face supporting device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hand and face supporting device, comprising an elongated body 101 positioned on a fixed surface to provide support to the user while standing, an imaging unit 102 installed over the body 101 that determines user's height, a telescopic rod 103 installed over the body 101 to extend and position a curved member 104 configured with the rod 103 to position user's chin over the member 104, a microphone 105 mapped over the body 101 to receive user's voice command, a pair of motorized sliding units 106 installed over the body 101 to provide translation to a curved flap 107 configured with the sliding units 106 to enable the user to use the flaps 107 as hand rest and an expandable plate 108 configured with the member 104 to create a boundary around the user's face to prevent the user's face from any injury."
