MUMBAI, India, Nov. 28 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202531024846 A) filed by Siksha O Anusandhan, Bhubaneswar, Orissa, on March 19, for 'hair recycling and processing assistive device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hair recycling and processing assistive device, comprises of a rectangular platform 101 with supporting legs 102 to position at a height, a chamber 103 for collecting hair, a touch interactive display panel 108 on platform 101 allows users to input details for wig preparation. Inside the chamber 103, a circular rotating unit 105 separates dust from hair, while pneumatic pins 104 on the inner wall extend and retract for manipulation, a sharp-pin panel 109 aligns and corrects the hair's orientation, and robotic arms 110 grip and align the hair over the pins 114, parallel rod plates 111 hold the hair in place, with adjustable thread- lock mechanism 112 to accommodate different hair thicknesses, a motorized air blower 113 dries and straightens the hair during alignment, and a temperature sensor near the blower 113 ensures real-time monitoring of the hair's surface temperature."
