MUMBAI, India, Sept. 12 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411013324 A) filed by Chandigarh University; and Chandigarh University Technology Business Incubator, Mohali, Punjab, on Feb. 23, 2024, for 'hair grooming device.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 12, under issue no. 37/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A hair grooming device, comprising a housing 1 associated configured with multiple suctions cups 2 for affixing surface on a surface, a camera 3 mounted over the housing 1 determining user's hair dimensions, a touch screen 4 mounted over the housing 1 enabling user's input commands, plurality of flaps 5 installed within the housing 1 attached via multiple sliders 6 to accommodate user's hair, a trimming unit 7 installed within the housing 1 via a two-lead screw arrangement 8 for translating the unit 7 for cutting hair, multiple chambers 9 attached with a rod 10 configured with an electronic nozzle 11 installed in housing 1 for dispensing hair color, a pair of gripper 12 installed within the housing 1 for gripping foil over user's hair."
