MUMBAI, India, July 5 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202311087796 A) filed by L'Oreal, Paris, on Dec. 21, 2023, for 'hair coloring process comprising the application of a composition comprising a binding agent, followed by the application of a composition comprising a (poly) carbodiimide, a specific copolymer and a coloring agent.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention concerns a process for coloring hair comprising: a) the application to the hair of at least one composition T comprising at least one binding agent selected from amino acids with an hydrocarbon chain bearing one or more alkaline groups, dipeptides obtained from said amino acids, salts or co-crystals from said amino acids, and mixtures thereof; followed by b) the application to the hair of at least one hair coloring composition C comprising: i) at least one (poly) carbodiimide compound; ii) at least one polymer comprising at least one reactive group chosen from carboxylic acids; and iii) at least one coloring agent selected from pigments, direct dyes and mixtures thereof."
