MUMBAI, India, Nov. 7 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202514036936 A) filed by Ela Aviacion, S. L., Cordoba, Spain, on April 16, for 'gyroplane take-off rotor.'
Inventor(s) include Lopez Sanchez, Emilio Jose.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 7, under issue no. 45/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A rotor for gyroplane take-off, wherein the gyroplane comprises two blades (1), two blade holders (2), and a prelauncher device linked to the rotor via a transmission. The rotor comprises a mechanism attachable to the transmission, which comprises: - a linear actuator (3); - a tie rod (4), linked to the linear actuator (3); - a vertical bar (5), linked to the tie rod (4); - a rocker arm (6) hinged at an upper end of the vertical bar (5); - two rods (7) hinged to the respective ends of the rocker arm (6) and extending downwards; and - a elastic element (8) for holding the blade holders (2), and the blades (1) in flight position at a high angle of attack. The rotor allows a temporary reduction of the angle of attack of the blades (1) to shorten the take-off run."
