MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411019405 A) filed by Hero Motocorp Limited, New Delhi, on March 15, 2024, for 'guard assembly for power unit of vehicle.'

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure discloses a vehicle (100). The vehicle comprises a body frame (102), a power unit (110), and a casing (112). The casing covers at least a portion of the power unit. Furthermore, the vehicle comprises a guard assembly (10). The guard assembly comprises at least one bracket (12) adapted to be coupled to the casing. Also, the guard assembly comprises at least one connecting member (14). Each of the connecting members is coupled to a respective bracket. Moreover, the guard assembly comprises a guard (16) comprising a plate (19) and at least one stay member (17) coupled to the plate. Each stay member is defined with a hole (28) to receive the respective connecting member to removably couple to the guard with the at least one bracket. The guard assembly (10) mitigates possibility of damage to the casing and power unit due to impact of the sharp bump/objects."
