MUMBAI, India, Aug. 1 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517067704 A) filed by Lifetech Scientific (SHENZHEN) Co. Ltd., Guangdong, China, on July 16, for 'grooved stent.'

Inventor(s) include Chen, Erchong.

The application for the patent was published on Aug. 1, under issue no. 31/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A grooved stent (100), wherein support units (33) are provided on two sides of a mesh region (30); the support units (33) can move relative to the mesh region (30) so as to achieve a certain force buffering effect when under pressure; and there are gaps between the support units (33) and the mesh region (30) to provide space for deformation when under pressure, which can provide a better buffering effect and better maintain the overall shape of a bottom support sheet (3). Further provided is a grooved stent (100), wherein the radial size of the end of the axial edge of the bottom support sheet (3) close to a groove (5) is less than the maximum radial size of the bottom support sheet (3), which is conducive to formation of a structure for directing towards a branch port."
