MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202544045936 A) filed by Bruckner Maschinenbau Gmbh, Siegsdorf, Germany, on May 13, for 'gripper unit and stretching unit.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention relates to a gripper unit (100) 5 for a stretching unit (10) as well as a stretching unit. The gripper unit (100) comprises a base body (110), a gripping jaw (114) and at least one blade flap (120). The blade flap (120) is located pivotably on the base body (110) about a pivot axis (122) and comprises a complementary gripping jaw (124) on one first end (121), said complementary gripping jaw (124) interacting with the gripping jaw (114) in a gripping position in order to grip a material web (50). In addition, the blade flap (120) comprises a neck section (126) and a head section (128), wherein the neck section (126) extends from the pivot axis (122) to the head section (128), said head section (128) forming a second end (123) of the blade flap (120). The head section (128) has an upper length (LK) measured in a direction of travel (R) of the gripper unit (100), which is at least 50 % longer than a minimum length (LH) of the neck section (122)."
