MUMBAI, India, Sept. 26 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411017142 A) filed by Rajasthan University Of Veterinary & Animal Sciences, Bikaner, Rajasthan, on March 10, 2024, for 'green synthesis of silver nanoparticles.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Dinesh Manoharrao Chavhan; Dr. Arun Kumar; Dr. Manoj Kumar Joshi; Dr. Ramesh Chand Jat; and Dr. Abhishek Gaurav.

The application for the patent was published on Sept. 26, under issue no. 39/2025.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention discloses a process to obtain silver nanoparticles. The silver nanoparticles obtained by the process are Moringa oleifera mediated silver nanoparticles having particle size ranging from 6.47 nm to 9.99 nm. The silver nanoparticles contain silver in the range of 57% to 75%. The silver nanoparticles exhibit antimicrobial activity at an application rate of 60 L/mL concentration and are safe for human consumption."
