MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202511131762 A) filed by IIMT College of Pharmacy, Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, on Dec. 25, 2025, for 'green retrosynthesis recommendation engine for pharmaceutical scaffolds using transformer models with reaction condition constraints.'

Inventor(s) include Dr. Nakul Gupta; Dr. Ravi Rawat; Dr. Shweta Sharma; and Ravi Bhagat.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A condition-optimized retrosynthesis system (100) is disclosed, comprising an encoding module (102), a condition-aware prediction module (104), a constrained route-planning module (106), and a sustainability scoring module (108). The system (100) jointly predicts single-step disconnections and feasible reaction conditions, constructs multi-step routes under solvent, temperature, and safety constraints, evaluates sustainability metrics, and outputs ranked synthetic pathways. A corresponding method (200) includes steps for encoding input molecules (202), generating condition-aware retrosynthetic predictions (204), and producing optimized multi-step routes with sustainability assessments (206). The invention provides environmentally compliant, scalable retrosynthetic solutions for pharmaceutical manufacturing."
