MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541113640 A) filed by Sini Prabhakar; T Gokulvikram; D Jeeva Prasad; R Kisore Kumar; and J A Sarvesh, Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, on Nov. 19, 2025, for 'green connect: a real time platform for agricultural e-commerce and service management connecting farmers and consumers.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Agriculture plays a vital role in ensuring food security and economic growth; however, farmers face a number of challenges, including restricted access to markets, discriminatory pricing, and accessing equipment. Green Connect is an online platform that addresses these issues by establishing !l: direct and open platform for the sale, purchase, and rental of agricultural produce and equipmeqt. Th~ network provides farmers with a direct mechanism for engaging with distributors in order to eliminate middlemen and thus assure fair pricing and adequate return to produce. rs and it provides the wholesaler with fresh, competitive pricing produce. Producers develop a prpduct listing, and qistributors then review the listing and decide what they 0 will order. Upon receiving a wholesale order, the platform sers up an order request, which is then sent to the farmer vi~ erpaii. Upon a farmer's confirmation of an order, a confirmation number is generated and notified to the wholesaler. Upon physical transactions, both parties are required to I I use the "Seen" functOil on their respective accounts to confirm their presence. The wholesaler l provides the prodqcr with a confirmation code, which the producer uses in the system to finalize the transacii ri If wrong code is entered, the transaction is void.
