MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541123395 A) filed by Kalasalingam Academy Of Research And Education, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 8, 2025, for 'gravity reset moisture responsive clothes drying rack.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The titled invention relates to a wall-mounted clothes drying rack that resets automatically as moisture reduces. The rack includes a mounting bracket (1), a pivot arm (2) and a rack frame (4) supported by a counterweight assembly (3). A moisture- responsive linkage (5) activates a latch mechanism (6) to hold or release the rack based on drying progress. A pivot joint (7) and return spring (8) guide smooth rotation. 10 A guide channel (9) maintains alignment. A structural housing (10) protects the mechanism while enabling compact automatic retraction."
