MUMBAI, India, Feb. 6 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202421077992 A) filed by Poonam Designs, Pune, Maharashtra, on Oct. 15, 2024, for 'gravity die-casting machine and a system associated therewith.'

Inventor(s) include Uttam Singh Ahedi.

The application for the patent was published on Feb. 6, under issue no. 06/2026.

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Disclosed are a gravity die-casting machine (100) and a system (400) associated therewith. The machine (100) includes a main body which has all the moving parts of the die-casting machine (100) excluding the main body support number (24) and the tilt cylinder (22). The machine (100) includes the dies (14, 19) that are split such that two four-cavity dies are placed right next to each other so that the dies act as one eight-cavity die. The system (400) comprises the machine (100), robots (150), the furnace (200), and a quenching tank (300). The furnace (200) is configured such that some of the molten metal is recirculated from the tapping chamber (203) to the holding chamber (201). The machine (100) and the system (400) provide a fourfold increase in production compared to old machines/methods. The recirculation ensures that the temperature and purity of molten metal are maintained inside the furnace."
