MUMBAI, India, Oct. 24 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202411022846 A) filed by Teerthanker Mahaveer University, Moradabad, Uttar Pradesh, on March 23, 2024, for 'grass cutting curved saw sharpening device.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A grass cutting curved saw sharpening device comprises a platform 1 positioned on a ground surface and installed with multiple omnidirectional wheels 5 for allowing a user to move the platform 1 as per requirement, a touch enabled to give input commands for sharpening a grass cutting curved saw, a holographic projection unit 4 for projecting holograms to guide the user in positioning the saw at a pre-set area over the platform 1, an imaging unit 3 for detecting dimensions of the saw, a pair of motorized sliders 7 for translating a pair of blocks 6 in a manner to securely grip saw on the platform 1, an L-shaped telescopically operated equipped with a motorized grinding stone 10 to retract for sharpening the edge, a magneto-inductive displacement sensor for detecting sharpness of the edge of saw, and a speaker 13 for notifying the user to collect the saw."
