MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517097818 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Oct. 10, for 'grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet and method for manufacturing same.'
Inventor(s) include Wada Naoki; Hamamura Hideyuki; and Takahashi Masaru.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This grain-oriented electrical steel sheet has a steel sheet having a plurality of grooves that extend in a direction intersecting a rolling direction. The average depth in the extension direction of the plurality of grooves is 3 or greater, B8A representing the magnetic flux density is 1.795-1.975 T, and B8A, s, and d satisfy the relationship -4.0 B8A+7.80=s/d=-4.0 B8A+9.00, where d is the average of the average groove-extension-direction depth of each of the plurality of grooves in units of m, and s is the standard deviation of the average extension-direction depth in units of m."
The patent application was internationally filed on Apr. 19, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/015582.
