MUMBAI, India, Nov. 21 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517098580 A) filed by Nippon Steel Corporation, Tokyo, on Oct. 13, for 'grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet and method for forming insulating coating film.'
Inventor(s) include Takeda Kazutoshi; Takatani Shinsuke; Kataoka Takashi; and Kogakura Yuuki.
The application for the patent was published on Nov. 21, under issue no. 47/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "This grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet has a base material steel sheet and an insulating coating film formed on the surface of the base material steel sheet, wherein: the base material steel sheet has a flat section and a groove section extending in the direction of 45-135 with respect to the rolling direction; the depth of the groove section is 10-30 m; the width of the groove section is 10-200 m; the insulating coating film has an intermediate layer that is formed on the base material steel sheet side, has a thickness of 0.1-15.0 m, and contains a crystalline phosphate metal salt, and a tension coating layer formed on the surface side of the insulating coating film; and the base material steel sheet is covered with the insulating coating film having the intermediate layer and the tension coating layer at an area ratio of 60% or more of the groove section."
