MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202527088628 A) filed by Beijing Xiaomi Mobile Software Co. Ltd., Beijing, on Sept. 17, for 'gnss measurement method and apparatus.'

The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present disclosure relates to the technical field of communications, and provides a GNSS measurement method, an apparatus, a device, and a storage medium. The method comprises: in response to receiving trigger information sent by a network side device for GNSS measurement, performing GNSS measurement by using a measurement gap. The present disclosure provides a processing method for the situation of "GNSS measurement", so as to provide a GNSS measurement mechanism. For GNSS measurement triggered by the network side device, GNSS measurement can be carried out by means of the measurement gap, thereby reducing the situation that the GNSS measurement cannot be carried out due to an unclear measurement mechanism, and improving the convenience of GNSS measurement."
