According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The present invention provides a hardware-integrated, AI-enabled system and method for locating and returning lost items. The system comprises a user device layer equipped with a camera, GPS sensors, processor, memory, and a secure access module (SAM) for capturing item images, geolocation, timestamps, and metadata, and performing local pre-processing and encryption. A cloud-based processing layer receives the data, applies hardware-accelerated AI algorithms for multi-factor matching of images, textual descriptions, and generates a confidence score. A verification and security layer enables secure handover using hardware-generated one-time passwords (OTPs) and a common key method. An administrative layer provides oversight, auditing, and tamper-proof logging. The method includes capturing, encrypting, transmitting, AI-based matching, owner confirmation, OTP verification, and transaction logging. The invention provides real-time, accurate, and secure item recovery with adaptive learning, high reliability, and scalable deployment for airports, campuses, and public spaces."
