MUMBAI, India, Jan. 9 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202541132922 A) filed by R. M. K. Engineering College, Tiruvallur, Tamil Nadu, on Dec. 29, 2025, for 'geo-fence based emergency vehicle notification system with real-time tracking.'

According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Road traffic congestion and delayed medical attention are important issues in India, in addition to the current spent time in inevitable traffic bottlenecks, the ambulance arrives late at the hospital, wasting even more time in completing hospital paperwork. The objective of the present invention is to provide an IoT-based emergency vehicle notification system integrated with mobile GPS for real-time tele-ambulatory management. The system continuously monitors the ambulance's location and geofences its routes, activating dynamic messages to alert pedestrians and motorists to clear the way."
