MUMBAI, India, Feb. 13 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202611002311 A) filed by Lovely Professional University, Phagwara, Punjab, on Jan. 8, for 'genomic risk assessment and early intervention system.'
Inventor(s) include Ajay Kumar Badhan; Sagar Balkrishna Admane; Jitender Rana; Akansha Singh; Swati Kumari; and Khushi Verma.
The application for the patent was published on Feb. 13, under issue no. 07/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "The invention relates to Genomic Risk Assessment and Early Intervention System for Rare Genetic Disorders Using Machine Learning (100). The system (100) collects large-scale genomic and phenotypic data via a genomic data collection module (102) and cleans and preprocesses it using a data preprocessing module (104). A feature extraction module (106) identifies critical genomic markers for classification. A multi-algorithm chain classifier (108) sequentially integrates Support Vector Machine (110), Random Forest (112), and Artificial Neural Network (114) models to classify rare genetic disorders with approximately 94% accuracy. Automated reporting module (116) provides interpretable diagnostic reports. Early intervention engine (118) recommends personalized preventive and therapeutic strategies. The system (100) supports cloud deployment (122), continuous learning, scalability, and integration with clinical workflows for proactive genomic healthcare."
