MUMBAI, India, March 14 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517121207 A) filed by Precision Technologies Group (PTG) Limited, Rochdale, U.K., on Dec. 3, 2025, for 'gear assembly.'
Inventor(s) include Munro, Robert; and Johnson, Daniel.
The application for the patent was published on March 13, under issue no. 11/2026.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "A gear assembly comprising a first gear and a second gear. The gears are complementary conformal gears. The gears are supported for rotation about respective rotation axes extending through respective centres of the gears. One of the gears is configured to exert a driving force on the other of the gears. The gear assembly has an optimum centre distance corresponding to an optimum separation of the centres of the first and the second gears. The first gear is supported by a mounting that allows movement of the first gear towards and/or away from the second gear to minimise any difference between the separation of the centres of the first and second gears, and the optimum centre distance, during use of the gear assembly."
The patent application was internationally filed on May 02, 2024, under International application No.PCT/GB2024/051162.
