MUMBAI, India, Oct. 11 -- Intellectual Property India has published a patent application (202517075078 A) filed by Tokuyama Corporation, Yamaguchi, Japan, on Aug. 7, for 'gas production method and gas production apparatus.'
Inventor(s) include Matsunaga, Daisuke.
The application for the patent was published on Oct. 10, under issue no. 41/2025.
According to the abstract released by the Intellectual Property India: "Provided are a gas production method and a gas production apparatus wherein even when electrolytic solution exchange is performed between an anode-side circulation tank and a cathode-side circulation tank, the compositions of generated gases in gas phase regions of the circulation tanks can be prevented from reaching the explosive limit, and adverse effects of a dissolved gas in the electrolytic solution on gas purity can be reduced. This gas production method is a method for producing oxygen gas and hydrogen gas by using an electrolyzer to electrolyze an electrolytic solution that is an aqueous alkali solution, wherein the electrolytic solution is decompressed when the electrolytic solution on the anode side and the electrolytic solution on the cathode side are exchanged."
The patent application was internationally filed on Mar. 26, 2024, under International application No.PCT/JP2024/012090.
